Cousin Eddie came into our rescue program on February 17, 2021. Cousin Eddie came into our rescue program from the Otoe Missouria Sheriff's Department along with 3 other horses as a cruelty case. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we found 1 horse down, in the snow, in emaciated condition. We spent 10 days trying to keep this horse on his feet. Sadly, we lost him due to the extreme neglect he suffered prior to arriving at our facility. Cousin Eddie is a Beautiful, Gray, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Cousin Eddie is estimated to be 6 years of age. Cousin Eddie is super sweet and loves attention. Cousin Eddie is halter broke and broke to lead. Cousin Eddie stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Cousin Eddie is a little thin and will need to gain some weight prior to evaluating for adoption. Cousin Eddie will make someone an excellent horse with the right amount of time and training. Cousin Eddie was picked for our 11th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Sierra Merryman. Sierra Merryman will be working with Cousin Eddie for the next 130 days, turning Cousin Eddie into a dependable riding companion. Sierra Merryman will be going against 10 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 11 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 14, 2022, at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Cousin Eddie will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 14th, 2022, through an all-day silent auction. Cousin Eddie is a sweet boy and loves attention. Cousin Eddie has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Cousin Eddie has also been freeze branded for his protection. Cousin Eddie has been adopted to a wonderful family in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Cousin Eddie is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this handsome boy found the forever, loving family he deserves, where he will be showered with love and attention.
